Kickoff meeting of Grenoble Alpes Data Institute

The Grenoble Alpes data Institute was officially launched on March 10th. The kick-off meeting attracted more that 200 participants.
Guillaume Poupard, General director of the Cybersecurity Agency (ANSSI), introduced data science and its impact on society and culture. The meeting was attended by  Lise Dumasy, President of the Université Grenoble Alpes, Patrick Lévy, President of ComUE UGA and coordinator of the Initiatives for Excellence (Idex), and Geneviève Fioraso, Deputee of Isere and former Minister of Higher Education and Research.

During the meeting the five work packages of the project were presented:

  • WP1: Data Science for Earth, Space and Environmental Sciences
  • WP2: Data Science for Life Sciences
  • WP3 : Massive and Rich Data for Humanities
  • WP4 : Data Science, Social Media and Social Sciences
  • WP5 : Data Governance, Data Protection and Privacy
