2nd R-in-Grenoble working session (2020-2021)

on the November 26, 2020

November 26, from 17:00 to 18:00
The second working session of the Grenoble R community will be about "Contribute to the response to COVID-19" and "Collect and use open access World Bank data to know your country". Due to COVID-19 restrictions, this session will be held by ZOOM.

Each month, the Grenoble R-group organizes one working session of 2 hours, on Thursdays, from 16h-18h, at the Imag building.

Everyone is welcome from beginners to advanced R users. Participants just need to bring their laptop. Presentations or tutorials will last 30 to 60 min, on R topics that can be useful to many people, with practical examples. During the second part of the session, specific problems encountered by participants when coding in R will be discussed.

Drinks and snacks will be shared during the second part of the session.

"Contribute to the response to COVID-19" and "Collect and use open access World Bank data to know your country"

Package {WDI} enables exploring 40 different datasets hosted by the World Bank. The database World Development Indicators (‘WDI’) contains 1,600 time series indicators for 217 economies and more than 40 country groups. For many series, data goes back more than 50 years. The package is very useful to explore the development of the countries. We will download and plot data together during this session.
