4th R-in-Grenoble working session (2020-2021)

on the January 14, 2021

January 14, from 17:00 to 18:00
The fourth working session of the Grenoble R community will be about "Using UGA’s Ciment servers". Due to COVID-19 restrictions, this session will be held by ZOOM.

Each month, the Grenoble R-group organizes one working session of 2 hours, on Thursdays, from 16h-18h, at the Imag building.

Everyone is welcome from beginners to advanced R users. Participants just need to bring their laptop. Presentations or tutorials will last 30 to 60 min, on R topics that can be useful to many people, with practical examples. During the second part of the session, specific problems encountered by participants when coding in R will be discussed.

"Using UGA’s Ciment servers"

In this session we will start with a general overview of UGA (University of Grenoble) severs by P-A. Bouttier from GRICAD (Grenoble’s infrastructure for intensive computing). He will present what these servers are, what they can be used for (scientific computing, data management, etc) and the different services provided by GRICAD to the Grenoble scientific community. Then in the main part of the presentation, M. Gueguen will present in which situations you may want to use such servers and how to do so in R. The presentation will be illustrated by several examples.
