on the January 17, 2019

January, 17th from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm
The Grenoble Alpes Data Institute and the CESICE are pleased to inform you of the holding of a conference entitled "Decoding digital, the boundary between journalism and activism" on January 17, 2019 at the building Simone Veil.

At the time of a frantic race for clicks and tweets, how to decipher the shower of texts and daily decision published in the Official Journal? How to penetrate the opacity that still mislead the movement towards open-data? This conference by Marc Rees, editor-in-chief of Next INpact, presents the daily life of an engaged journalist specializing in the law of new technologies, a fervent practitioner of CADA procedures, who does not hesitate to multiply actions against ministries.

After two masters obtained at the law faculty of Aix-en-Provence, Marc Rees is a journalist since the late 90’s. He joined in 2005 where he now holds the position of editor-in-chief. Specialized in the law of new technologies, he has followed several major legislative episodes (DADVSI laws, Hadopi, terrorism, security, etc.) and their long debates.
